Hello everyone . I need some help and hope that i can find some from my fellow reefers . Ive been in this hobby for around 20 yrs and my kids r now into it with us all and i have four kids so its not cheap . Well i have a 26 gallon cube that is set up in my 6 yr old daughters room and i dont have much in it for her and she asks me everyday if any of my fish friends can belp me get her stuff for it . Im not working right now as i was laid off from my job months back and.times r beyond tough i have a few reef tanks setup and they have all been kinda stripped of all there corals and livestock in order to pay my mortgage and other bills so i dont have much to offer her and shes a good kid that loves this hobby as much as all of us and has worked very hard to save up for the few rocks and frags she has and ive given her what i was able to from mine and my other kids reefs but its not much and her birthday is coming up in a week and i want to ask if anyone can help me give her the only thing she wants for her birthday a few things in her tank . She doesnt have any fish right now or anything ekse like that just a few pounds of live rock and a couple frags that r doing very well but i feel like a let down cuz i cant do much more for her . If anyone has anything they can donate to r family it will help more than u can imagine . Its more of livestock than anything that is needed besides a pump or power head.for movement she loves green star polyps xenia anthellia clove polyps and mushroom corals . I dont have much to offer right now but if i have something that u might want and its not a must to keep my other tanks alive and going i can give u it for whatever u can give me . I have a huge skunk cleaner shrimp that iam looking to trade but need to trade it for a filter for my 39 gallon reef cuz my filter broke and i dont have one right now just a skimmer and a prayer that i can find a filter soon . If anyone has a filter i dont care if its a canister or whatever just as long as its not a mechanical hang on whisper bio wheel type fiilter than its fine with me but i need it to work and not shoot micro bubbles throughout my reef i spent the last of my cash on a canister that does nothing but shoot micro bubbles and its not gonna do so please if u can help us out with anything pm me and i can pm u back my number so we can talk or set sometging up . It would b very very nice of u it doesnt have to be a huge piece a frags fine if its on a rock or rubble even better like i said she has really no rock and not any places to put a coral but if needed it can sit on the sand . A fish would b cool too as long as its not a huge one or a damsel thats gonna b problems . Thanks in advance for any help u might b able to give us .

The past few months my 40 gallon tank has slowly been taken over by flatworm. The little things are a pain and i finally decided to get the tank cleaned up and rid of the annoying flatworms. My tank is decently stocked with soft corals and just a few sps corals. All of my rockwork was blanketed with these worms. I decided to read a little and find out everything on how to get rid of them. First things first i set up a 10 gallon tank to keep and treat all my coral as most are on smaller pieces of rock with is the nice part of having a nano. Secondly i pulled out every single rock, and i did a freshwater dip and swished the rocks around real good. By the time i was done with all 75 pounds of rock freshwater dipping the bucket looked like muddy water. The freshwater dip kills them instantly. After all the rock was rinsed i put it back into the tank and now it was time for the sand. i siphoned out as many as i could then it was time to put the saliferts flatworm exit into the water. I doubled up on the recommended dose and within 10 minutes i had webs of dead flatworms all over the sand bed. i then turned on the canister filter with a pound of activated carbon and am still running that a day later. a 30 percent water change was done and the dead flatworms siphoned out. The skimmer was left on the entire time. it is a live aquatic in tank skimmer and i really pulled some black junk out of the tank. a day later i have all the treated coral back in the tank and am all ready to go. The saliferts did not kill anything. the only fish left in the tank was a fire fish and he survived just fine. Saliferts flatworm exit is a great method to rid your tank of these flatworms.

Premium Aquatics is going to be at the C-SEA All-Ohio Frag Swap in west Cleveland on June 2nd. Because we’ll already be headed that way, we’ve decided to offer FREE DELIVERY on items pre-ordered and picked up at the show. In addition, we’re offering a 10% discount code to be combined with the free delivery!

This is a chance to order heavy and oversized items without incurring a large shipping charge. Because the logistics of the delivery will have us packing the van a couple days in advance, we are UNABLE TO BRING LIVESTOCK, CORALS, or FROZEN FOODS.

Here’s how it works:
-From 5/17 – 5/31, orders should be placed on the Premium site or via phone, utilizing the code C-SEA-PICKUP. This code will generate your 10% discount (excluding Aqua Illumination and Ecotech merchandise) and can ONLY BE APPLIED TO ORDERS BEING PICKED UP AT C-SEA.
-Under the delivery options, you should select LOCAL PICKUP, and in the comments you should enter PICKUP AT C-SEA. (If you are unable to select LOCAL PICKUP, be sure to note PICKUP AT C-SEA in the notes, and your shipping method will be adjusted in-house)
-You MUST attend the show, and all orders MUST BE PICKED UP PRIOR TO THE SHOW’S END.

That’s all there is to it! Make your order sometime from May 17-31, use the special promotion code, and retrieve your order while having a great time at the All-Ohio Frag Swap! For more info about the swap, visit: http://www.c-sea.org/
